Trivia is the game, but can you guess the name? Come out all you trivia buffs for a new twist to my trivia game. The game is called Bank or Bust. I know it’s one you’ll want to play. How does it work you say?
Well, it works like this. Each team receives a bank of 100 points to start the game. My questions are in several categories ranging from food to science. I’ll give you a question, and your team must decide how confident they are in knowing the answer. If you feel you know the answer, then you bet the maximum. The bets must be between 1 and 5 points. The amount you bet is up to the team. The less confident you are about your answer, the less you bet. If your answer is right then your team doubles those points. If the question gets answered wrong, then the team loses the amount of points they bet. Your team can pass the question to the opposing team and no points are deducted. The other team then has a chance to steal the question for any amount of points they choose. If they guess the answer, they double their points. If their answer is wrong, they lose the points they bet. However, if your team bet a specific amount of points, the opposing team can only guess the answer for the points you bet.
The second team can also pass with no points lost.
Pro Tip: If you are the first team to bid on a question, bid at least 1 point if you don’t know the answer. This prevents the other team from bidding 5 points should they know the answer.
All scores are doubled when the question is answered correctly.
There will be a bonus round after two rounds.
At the end of the game, the team with the highest score wins.
