Word Power is hosted by Marj.
In this game, two captains are selected, and teams will be created for each captain. Each team will have eight chances to guess five words that appear on a list that Marj has created. This will be done by having each player guess one word until either the five words have been revealed, or eight members of one team have had their eight chances. If the team reveals three of the words that Marj has chosen for this round, the team will receive a total of 6 points, which is 2 points per correct answer. The remaining 2 words will then be passed to the opposing team for a steal. The team will suggest words to their captain that fit the category, and the captain will select 1 word to submit once time has been called. If that word is one of the 2 remaining words, the team will get 4 points for the steal.
Marj will give a word such as blue for example, and it is up to the team to give a word that goes before, after, or is a part of that word.
Examples: code blue, blue lagoon, or blueberry might appear on the list that Marj has created.
Getting all 5 words will earn a team 10 points. Each of the five words is worth 2 points each. The point value for a steal is determined by how many words are left to guess. For example: If there are 3 words that were not revealed, the steal is worth 6 points, 2 points per word. If there is only 1 word that is not revealed, then the steal is worth 2 points.
Each time a new round begins, the person whose name appears in the team list just below the name of the person who guessed last for their team the previous round, will be up first to guess.
At the end of the game, the team with the most points is declared the winner.
